Best for a virtual office

A virtual office is a great resource for a Digital Nomad  who needs to be contactable during office hours.  You have a professional reception service that offers you an address, someone to take your telephone calls when you’re unable to and in some cases, the option to use office space when in the vicinity.

Regus Group were one of the first businesses to come up with the co-working, flexible office space idea, long before a Digital Nomad was ever thought of.  They have a wide range of services on offer including a Virtual office service which can be as simple as registering a professional business address in Alicante or taking on the full Virtual office service which includes access to co-working space in their Business world site in Alicante.  There are also 3 Regus locations to choose from in Valencia.

Best city café for remote working

Cafe Artysana

In Valencia you will be spoilt for choice with their cafes and co-working spaces.  We found a charming cafe that is located in Ruzafa, Valenica’s hip, bohemian “Barrio”  just south of Valencia city centre. Cafe ArtySana offers remote workers a welcoming and comfortable environment in which to work.

Remote workers and digital nomads are at home here with laptops during weekdays, and they also host a dedicated digital nomad event in the cafe every Thursday from 10:00-14:00.  You can meet like-minded individuals and expand your network while staying in the city or longer term if you live in Valencia or are thinking of moving there. They have small tables if you need more privacy, and also a large coworking table where you can meet in groups.

Brunch is on the menu which offers plenty of choices and has a selection of vegetarian and vegan options too. Tea, coffee, juices and smoothies are in abundance to keep you energised throughout the day. In the evenings on Fridays and Saturdays, the cafe hosts a language exchange event in this lovely and relaxed environment – a great opportunity to brush up on your Spanish or Valenciano!

Best place to stay for a Digital Nomad

Small but beautiful surrounded by mountain ranges and on the mediterranean sea, Alicante is an up and coming city and worth anyone’s visit.  With central co-working places like ulab.es who make it easy to combine a Digital Nomad stay in Alicante with a good workspace and a network or Digital Nomads, they have some apartments they can refer you to or would help you find accommodation.  In your downtime, you can explore the city on foot or get on the tram or bus and go farther afield to places like Benidorm, Elche or as far as Denia.  There are museums and art galleries, islands to explore or you can just soak up the Spanish lifestyle with a cool drink, some tapas and an evening paseo. You can find out more about places to stay and all the other things to do in and around Alicante on their website.

Best for networking

Ulab was the first coworking site in Alicante and has been growing ever since.  You will find a large community of entrepreneurs, digital nomads and location independent workers sat at the desks here.  The coffee breaks are a great moment to run something by one of your colleagues or work through something challenging.  Join their community and network with remote workers who use the offices day in day out, or meet with other Digital Nomads who are just working in Alicante for a few weeks or a few months.  Their tariffs are flexible and remember to check out their event calendar when they often have guest speakers or courses that you can sign up to.

Best for workations

As Benidorm continues to grow its Digital Nomad proposition, this is going to be one of the bucket list places for remote workers.

It’s accessibility with plenty of flights from many European cities and ease of movement with good tram, bus and bicycle rental services make it an attractive proposition for a workation.

With so much on offer day and night: 300 days of sunshine; beautiful sandy beaches and intimate coves; its own mountain range the Sierra Helada and a plethora of restaurants, bars and activities open all year round, you might find it difficult to leave.

Find out more on the Visit Benidorm website about places to stay for a workation in Benidorm.
